Advanced Meditech Announces Addition of

Medium Surgical Clips and Appliers to its Vasectomy Product Line

February 1, New York -- Advanced Meditech International, Inc. (AMI)  today announced the introduction of it's new medium surgical clips and surgical clip appliers. 

"We've had so many inquiries for these instruments over the past few years, but haven't been able to obtain them before," said Curtis Lenox, AMI's Co-Founder and CEO. "Fortunately, we're now able to offer them to our broad base of U.S. and international vasectomy customers. 

The use of clips as an occlusion technique during vasectomy is rising rapidly in the United States. In the 1990's, the use of clips by urologists and vasectomists from other specialties more than doubled. Currently over 25% of all practitioners use clips and this number continues to rise because clips are faster and easier to apply than more traditional ligatures. In the face of declining reimbursements by HMO's and other payers, procedural efficiency has become increasingly important.
